Little students, big first steps. Junior classes turn all that energy into listening, balance and the kind of pride a kid feels when the coach says “yes, exactly like that.”

What a junior class looks like
At three, four, five and six, attention comes in short bursts. Junior classes are built for that: quick drills, plenty of movement, and lots of chances to try again. Kids line up, bow in, and follow an instructor who expects their best and helps them find it.
Over time the basics start to stick. Kids learn their stances, their first blocks and kicks, and how to aim a kick at a target an instructor is holding. Along the way they practice the skills every parent wants: waiting their turn, keeping their hands to themselves, and listening the first time.
What they work on
- Listening and focus. Following directions from a coach, in a room full of other kids.
- Balance and coordination. Standing on one leg to kick is harder than it looks at four.
- Courtesy. Bowing in, listening to the instructor, respecting classmates.
- Confidence. Doing something hard in front of others, then doing it again a little better.
Your child’s first class
Come a few minutes early so your child can see the room and meet the instructor. Dress them in something comfortable they can kick in.
